Behavioral Health Service

SVPAM welcomed Dr. Kristina Johnson to our pediatric practice in the Fall 2015. She provides intensive Behavioral Health Services to our patients & families in need. She joined us after nearly three decades with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center & The Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic, Center of Autism & Developmental Disorders, where she served as the Senior Program Director.

In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Johnson has taught at the University level and published in the areas of behavioral assessment & treatment. Her clinical research interests have focused on the education & treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities & severe behavior/psychiatric disorders through effective applied behavior analysis. Dr. Johnson has extensive experience & expertise in providing behavioral health care across multiple treatment areas. She is a member of the American Psychological Association & is a Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist.

Dr. Johnson knows that “being a kid is tough! There are so many pressures facing children & teens today. Fitting in, standing up to others, identifying who you are & being proud of the person you are going to be are all challenges that kids are facing.” Dr. Johnson has made it her life’s work to help children find their “own paths to happiness.”

Appointments are available with Dr. Johnson in our Wexford location, Monday through Friday, during regular SVPAM business hours for a variety of services including, but not limited to ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum, Depression, OCD behaviors, Post-traumatic Stress, etc. Please be advised that fees for missed appointments with Dr. Johnson or any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are as follows: $75 for 60 minute scheduled appointment and $100 for a 90 minute scheduled appointment.
